Band on the water

It’s been a couple of years since we performed at Hollingwood, home of the Chesterfield Canal Trust, so Christmas 2016 seemed like an ideal opportunity to renew our acquaintance with the lovely people and their waterside venue.

Rather than playing inside, the weather was unseasonably warm, so we opted to play outside on the cafe patio, taking a small band and playing a few carols and some of Graham’s arrangements.

As the Trust’s Santa trips were also in full swing, one of their tripboats (Madeline) was in the lock awaiting its next contingent of excited children, so it seemed an ideal opportunity to jump on board for a fun picture! It would be nice one day to do a concert on board and cruise down the canal… perhaps next year now though!
